Laura Cantero is executive director of Grupo Guayacán, a private-sector driven non-profit organization founded in 1996 with a unique model coupling private equity investment with programs aimed at developing, strengthening and advancing Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Laura previously worked as program director at Foundation for Puerto Rico and manager in Ernst & Young’s Latin America financial services practice in Panama. She has vast experience in entrepreneurial development in Latin America. Before working in consulting, Laura worked for Banco Santander Puerto Rico. She holds a bachelor’s in economics from UPenn’s Wharton School and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
